Independent WOF inspection, repairs and recheck
Your WOF inspection is completed by an independent registered garage nearby rather than by European Car Specialists.
We deliberately keep the inspection separate from the workshop carrying out any resulting repairs. It gives you an independent assessment of the vehicle while still allowing us to manage the process for you.
We normally arrange the WOF first so we know what, if anything, needs attention. If the vehicle fails, we discuss the required work with you before repairs proceed.
Where appropriate, repairs are completed in our workshop and we then coordinate the recheck.
Tyres and wheel alignment can also be arranged through specialists we trust when required.
Servicing coordinated around your individual vehicle
A WOF checks whether your vehicle meets required safety standards at the time of inspection. Servicing looks more broadly at maintenance, wear and what the vehicle needs to keep operating reliably.
If both are due, we can coordinate them during the same booking.
Servicing is based on the individual vehicle rather than a fixed silver, gold or platinum package. Its engine, mileage, service history and manufacturer requirements all influence what is due and what the work will cost.

Diagnostic scanning as part of routine servicing
Diagnostic scanning forms part of our servicing process, helping us identify faults that may have appeared since the vehicle was last checked.
Regular scanning is particularly useful because it gives us a clearer history rather than leaving years of old fault codes stored in the vehicle.
A scan does not replace mechanical diagnosis. If something is identified, we interpret that information alongside the vehicle’s condition and anything you have noticed while driving.
That allows us to investigate developing problems before automatically recommending replacement parts.

The aim is to identify anything that should be addressed before the vehicle is placed under the extra demands of a longer journey. Depending on the vehicle, we can check servicing requirements, brakes, warning lights and other mechanical concerns, and discuss anything that may need attention before you leave.
Booking ahead is recommended, particularly before holiday periods, so there is enough time to source parts and complete any necessary work without rushing.
Courtesy cars are available by arrangement, and local drop-off assistance may also be available while your vehicle is with us.

You can still leave the vehicle with us and we will coordinate the inspection, any approved repairs and the recheck.
Yes. Most customers can leave the vehicle with us for one booking. We arrange the independent WOF inspection and can complete scheduled servicing at the same time. If the WOF identifies repair work, we discuss this with you before proceeding and arrange the recheck afterwards.

Most standard repairs are completed the same day. Courtesy cars are available if your vehicle needs to stay longer.
